What are the distances?
The Junior Run is a distance of 1 mile.
Marshals will be positioned all along the race route for the safety of the junior runners, however, adults are welcome to accompany the children during the race, however you are not required to register. Please note that because of the varying ages of the junior runners, this is a Fun Run and not a race.
The Seniors Race is a distance of 10 miles.
Junior Trail Run – Entry Fee £8
10 Mile Trail Run – Entry fee £30
(Additional £2 if you are not a member of a UKA affiliated running club.)
Entry includes a gigantic finishers medal and a custom neck gaiter (Buff style) and free entry for yourself and 2 others into the grounds of Cragside Estate.
07:00 – Registration opens
08:30 – Start of Junior 1 Mile Trail Run
08:45 – Registration closes
08:55 – Compulsory Safety Briefing (start line)
09:00 – Start of The Cragside TrailRunner
Ample free parking is available on site.
Registration will take place at the Visitor Centre which is a short walk from the Main Car Park. Toilet facilities are available on site.
The course covers approximately 10 miles as it snakes its way around Cragside taking in all the popular areas and even some of the lesser-known ones where there’s history jam-packed into every corner.
There will be a drinks station near to the midway point on the course.
We will record finish times and will make the results available after the event on the website. Please ensure your run number is visible after you cross the finish line. If you drop out of the event at any time after you have registered and collected your run number, then you must go to the nearest checkpoint/marshal or Registration and let them know you are dropping out.
